Deutsch: Schwäbisch Hall: die westliche Front der nördlichen historischen Altstadt an der Salinenstraße, gesehen von Nord-Nordwesten über den Kocher. Links im Bild der Südflügel (Salinenstraße 6) der ehemaligen Justizvollzugsanstalt, erbaut 1843 bis 1849, im Volksmund allgemein als Kocherhotel bekannt. In der Bildmitte der markante Diebsturm, erbaut um 1300 als Eckturm der Stadtbefestigung; links und rechts direkt dahinter der ehemalige Marstall und mit Rüstkammer (Gebäudeteil Salinenstraße 2, orangefarbener Putz), an den sich rechts ein weiterer Teil anschließt (Gebäudeteil Am Spitalbach 22, weiß verputzt). Mit Am Spitalbach 31 sowie Neue Straße 32 und 33, Brückenhof 1 folgen weitere historische Bauten, die offenbar nicht unter Denkmalschutzt stehen, aber Ensembleschutz genießen. Rechts schließt sich die Henkersbrücke an, die selbstredend ein geschütztes Kulturdenkmal darstellt. Im Vordergrund das Kocherwehr mit Fischtreppe (rechts).
English: Schwäbisch Hall: the western front of the northern historic old town on Salinenstrasse, seen from the north-northwest over the River Kocher. On the left in the picture is the south wing (Salinenstraße 6) of the former correctional facility, built between 1843 and 1849, popularly known as the 'Kocherhotel'. In the center of the picture is the striking 'thief's tower', built around 1300 as a corner tower of the city fortifications; On the left and right directly behind it is the former stables and armory (Salinenstrasse 2, orange plaster), which is adjoined by another part on the right (Am Spitalbach 22, white plaster). Other historical buildings follow: Am Spitalbach 31 as well as Neue Straße 32 and 33, Brückenhof 1, which are apparently not listed, but enjoy ensemble protection. On the right is the Henkersbrücke, which is of course a protected cultural monument. In the foreground is the Kocher weir with a fish ladder (right). |
