澳洲寄居蟹学名Lomis hirta),又名多尾石蟹(直译自其英语名称hairy stone crab),是异尾下目Anomura澳洲寄居蟹总科Lomisoidea)之下唯一的一个科澳洲寄居蟹科Lomisoidea)的唯一物种[2],生活于澳大利亚南部从西澳州班伯利塔斯马尼亚澳大利亚大陆之间的巴斯海峡沿岸带[3]。本物种宽1.5—2.5 cm(0.6—1.0英寸)[3],行动速度缓慢,被褐色的毛发伪装覆盖,在海底下的岩石上生活[4]

本物种跟异尾下目其他各科的物种间的关系有争议。与本物种关系最接近的物种包括有寄居蟹[5],特别是石蟹科帝皇蟹[6] and 辉虾科.[7][8] It is clear, however, that Lomis represents a separate case of 蟹化.[9]
