巨蟹座EI,又称为G 9-38GJ 1116,此恒星系统是由两颗位于巨蟹座红矮星组成。[11]该系统相对较近,距太阳16.8光年。[12] 该系统具有非常高的恒星耀斑活动,平均每小时有五次耀斑。[1]

2015年,对系统中第三颗星的搜索没有得出结论。[13]
