About me
Born in May 24th, 1994 in Sfax, Tunisia, I am B.Sc. Student, Faculty of Medicine of Sfax, University of Sfax, Sfax, Tunisia. I am also an undergraduate researcher about Computational Linguistics, Data Science, Scientometrics, Bibliometrics, Informetrics, Health policy, Economics, Wikipedia... Effectively, my research output can be found in Academia.edu, in SelectedWorks, and in ResearchGate.
My work
I was registered as a WMF user in March 17th, 2009. I am member of Wikimedia TN User Group (local Wikimedia chapter in Tunisia).
First, I am a contributor to English Wikipedia since May 31st, 2009. My most excellent performance is my promotion of the article about Tunisian Arabic in English Wikipedia from C-Class quality to B-Class quality with the contribution of Rafik Zribi, Emad Adel, and Maik Gibson in 2015 and is having a C-Class rating for the article "2015 Sousse Attack" I co-created with AHeneen. I was also a semi-finalist of the 2015 WikiCup. My work was featured four times in the main page of the English Wikipedia: one "Do You Know" note for The World is Bardo and three "In The News" notes for 2015 Sousse attack, 2015 Bardo National museum attack and Tunisian National Dialogue Quartet.
Second, I am a contributor to French Wikipedia since May 15th, 2011. My most excellent performance is the selection of my article "Liste de scientifiques tunisiens" in the official selection of the best articles in WikiConcours septembre 2014.
Third, I am also active in Meta-Wiki and Wikimedia Incubator and I participated to several Wikimedia Foundation conferences like WikiArabia 2015 and WikiConvention Francophone 2016 where I presented some of my activities in editing Wikimedia projects and to the 14th ACS/IEEE International Conference on Computer Systems and Applications AICCSA 2017 where I introduced Wikidata to the specialized scientists in Arabic Natural Language Processing. I am a co-creator of Wikipedia and Wiktionary in Tunisian Arabic and Wiktionary in Algerian Arabic. I was also a former candidate to the Wikimedia Foundation Board of Trustees in 2015. My entry about The Wikipedia Library was accepted as a reserve presentation in Wikimania Esino Lario 2016. Furthermore, my proposal about Inviting Professors Emeriti to contribute to Wikipedia was ranked first in 2017 IdeaLab Inspire campaign competition.
Fourth, I am a member and global coordinator in The Wikipedia Library User Group since 2015 to provide access to Digital and Offline Libraries to contributors to Wikimedia projects and to help users to efficiently use the resources available in these Digital and Offline Libraries as references in their Wikipedia entries. During my functions in The Wikipedia Library, I succeeded (in 2017) to create the Tunisian chapter of this User Group that, in addition to its regular functions, tries to make old books and manuscripts (generally existing in the old institutions, libraries and book archives of Tunisia) available to the users of Wikimedia projects by uploading them to Wikisource. This achievement led me to have The Wikipedia Library Star Coordinator Award in October 2017.
